Consortium won EU-Korea grant
ImageLeading European Institutions in the framework of the European Univeristies Consortium (EUC) won an EU grant with their joint project "Korean European Global Leadership Program for Sustainable Development" and will start their cooperation with South Koreas Hanyang University, Konkuk University, and Ajou University soon.

Södertörns Högskola, the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Florence and Haaga-Helia University in Finland won the grant within the EU cooperation program ICI ECP (Industrialised Countries Instrument Education Cooperation Programme). The "KOREU GLP" will enforce cooperation and exchange between the European and Asian counterparts and support the mobility of students.

Students from Korea going to study in Europe will take part in studying energy policies which were recently developed by the EU.  Additional research will be done to examine successful cases of sustainable development.  Exploration into European culture will be done in order to more greatly appreciate the student’s new environment.

European students coming to Europe will receive an education in the fundamentals of politics, culture, and society in Asia, with an emphasis on Korea.  Students coming to Korea will participate in one month of the summer school in addition to a semester of regular study.  The summer session will be a cultural learning experience with the hopes of allowing the student to better adjust to his or her new environment.
