On April 24^th an interdisciplinary series of meetings on genocide and ethnic cleansing began with the conference entitled “From Srebrenica to Kosovo-Negative Stereotype to Ethnic Cleansing”.

The invited guests: prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski, Ph.D.- an expert on political studies;  prof. Janusz Danecki, Ph.D.- a renown arabist  and Mr Jerzy Gumowski- w photo reporter for Gazeta Wyborcza sought, with the participation of the numerous audience, to answer questions regarding the nature of the mechanism leading to genocide, ways to prevent it and methods of reconciliation.

The idea of the series of meetings entitled “We and They: Must the Other be Hell?” is a free exchange of thought and political views between lecturers and students of the Warsaw School of Social Psychology.

The meetings are coordinated by Ms Cecylia Jakubczak, a Cross-Cultural Psychology student, and supervised by prof. Bohdan Michalski, Ph.D.- coordinator of the European Universities Consortium.
