Educational Centre for Environmental Diplomacy and Sustainable Development |
The Centre is to become the platform for development of innovative curricula, that will help address the challenge of implementing of a national and global environmental strategy. The Centre will focus on a comprehensive approach towards the issue of ecology and will serve as educational hub and think tank promoting the idea of sustainable development in the context of global security.

Images and Myths of Europe: the Western and the Eastern Perspectives
The Final International Conference: Images and Myths of Europe - the Western and the Eastern Perspectives is scheduled to be held in Florence, in November 2008.

The topic of this year's Summer University organized by The European Universities Consortium with the support of European Union Intensive Programme grant is the concept of preventive diplomacy as a way of dealing with different forms of conflicts.In 2007 Consortium has joined the Intensive Programme, which is a part of the Erasmus Programme. During the Summer University we would like to consider preventive diplomacy mainly in its non-military aspect and take it as an inspiration for the analysis of concepts such as peace, reconciliation, international security, conflict management, energy crisis, cultural heritage, mediation and cultural identity in the context of contemporary world. Therefore you will have opportunity to hear about various approaches to preventive diplomacy and meet with specialists involved in this topic both in theory and in practice. Read more... |
